With a stream of massive tracks and platinum selling catalogue of albums selling, Auckland based four-piece OPSHOP have firmly lodged themselves into New Zealand’s musical lexicon with popular singles such as ‘One Day’, ‘No Ordinary Thing’, and ‘Maybe’, as well as an ever-growing list of accolades.
The critical and commercial success of first album You Are Here provided a promising platform for the bands sophomore album and the results now speak for themselves. Second Hand Planet offered up four massive hits, among them was Maybe, the most played single on all radio in 2007, but it was the achingly familiar One Day that stole the show and went on to win, among a host of other awards, the 2008 APRA Silver Scroll for Song of the Year.
The third offering from OPSHOP was the critically acclaimed Until the End of Time that received rave reviews across the board upon release, debuting at number one on the NZ Top 40 Album Chart and it was clearly apparent that another great album had been born.
Never content to rest on their laurels though, OPSHOP is now back in the studio working hard on the next installment.
