"Where the country comes to the town..."

Join us for our third hugely popular family day at the Queen Street Reserve and the Wainuiomata Memorial Hall. The Rural Fest in Wainuiomata is an annual 'country comes to town' event with a fun packed programme that includes our very popular dog shows; emergency services and sheep shearing demonstrations; Bake Off, sand saucer and scarecrow competitions; tug of war, gumboot throwing and sack races; a petting zoo, food and market stalls, and much more for all the family.

The second Wainuiomata Art Exhibition will also be open at the adjacent Wainuiomata Community Library in Queen Street.

Don't forget to enter the scarecrow competition - new this year!

Check out the cup cake classes at Wainuiomata Hub to help you with your Bake Off entries. Entry forms for all the competitions available on line or from the Wainuiomata Community Hub.

Make a day of it and bring the family!
