VAI
Directed by ‘Ofa-ki-Levuka Guttenbeil-Likiliki, Amberley Jo Aumua, Becs Arahanga, Dianna Fuemana, Marina Alofagia McCartney, Mīria George, Matasila Freshwater and Sharon Whippy with Nicole Whippy.

8 connecting moments of seemingly different lives thread together Vai’s journey of empowerment through culture over her lifetime.

Beautifully shot over 7 Pacific countries, and played by a different indigenous actress in each place, Vai links together a story of family, culture, and at times, isolation. A delicate exploration into the meaning of growth, adaptation, and most notably, a connection to water and home.

Our Charities:

P.A.C.I.F.I.C.A:
P.A.C.I.F.I.C.A Incorporated is a national non government organisation (NGO) for Pacific women living in Aotearoa New Zealand. It was established as a result of a Pacific women's conference held in Auckland in 1976 and became an incorporated society in 1977. All women are eligible to become members of P.A.C.I.F.I.C.A irrespective of background, faith and ethnicity – as long as they agree to support and abide by the aims and objectives of the organisation.

Sisters United:
Sisters United is a family based organisation that provide exciting, fresh and creative programmes and services to Young Women aged 12 - 21 in Auckland. We are the Goebel Sisters, Parris, Kendal and Narelle. Combining our skills and experience in social work, creative arts and design, together with our passion and enthusiasm for helping the lives of our young Pacific and Maori young women, we believe that we can ensure the future looks bright for our young women.
