This summer, DOC is putting a focus on how to treat our environment the right way. We want to know how much you respect your own backyard. So why not write about it?

Competition topic:
'Interacting with New Zealand wildlife'.

Stories, poems, essays, graphic novels...Let your creativity run wild!

Entries will be judged in age categories. The prize is a conservation calendar and a one year membership to either the Kiwi Conservation Club or Forest & Bird, depending on age of winners. Three prizes will be awarded, thanks to Forest & Bird.

How to enter:
The competition begins Friday 14 December 2018. All entries must be received before 11:59pm Friday 22 February 2018.

Entries can be as short as you like, but must be no more than 2000 words.

You must be under 18 at the time the competition closes.
