Hi, folks.
Maybe some of you have seen that funky Loveheart with Disney hands and feet and a cheeky smile around Welly. In case you were wondering what he's all about. He is a symbol of self-love and he's painted on walls to remind us to be kind to ourselves. Self-kindness translates to happiness and kindness to others which create a brighter world.

Well, this Saturday the artist behind the character is exhibiting a series of work in Newtown.

Heres the artists' statement

Artist Statment:
For me, comics are about self-honesty. 10 years ago I was asked to make comics about material life, I have procrastinated this for a long time thinking I can't draw. I have finally got enough comics I consider good enough to show and funnily enough they are all about my own life.

Though I try to live a spiritual life I share a body with a total materialist - my mind. My comics are directly or indirectly about him.

My paintings seek to translate traditional Indian art into a fusion of pop art and graffiti. My idea is to repackage and share visually the possibilities that have kept me inspired and moving forward for the past 10 years.

Loveheartman is a blend of my comic art and possibility paintings. Created out of depression in 2017 he reminds me to prioritize relationships over material things.

I believe being an artist isn't just about creating something amazing but also being an amazing creation. For example being happy, humble and helpful. For me, that's what surrender is about.
