Each year the UN World Wildlife Day (WWD) is recognised on 3 March.

This year the theme for WWD is ‘Life below water: for people and planet’.

The event for WWD 2019 will be held at Kelly Tarlton’s (KT’s) on Saturday 2 March, it will include:
– a colouring in competition
– a word finder and quiz
– WWD themed cotton bag giveaways
– CITES themed bag-tag and pen giveaways
– a display table near the ‘Rocky Pool’ exhibit with items from CITES listed marine species
– a video display that explains the CITES work done in New Zealand
– two CITES Rangers and CITES Intern onsite at KT’s to talk to and discuss CITES and WWD
– a Toyota Kiwi Guardians adventure to complete so you can claim a medal www.doc.govt.nz/kiwiguardians

Cost: Usual admission fee to Kelly Tarlton’s – $32 per adult & $22 per child
