Finish the summer school holidays by sending your kids off to Craftcamp. Artist Gabby O’Connor’s workshops are inspired by the current exhibitions at City Gallery Wellington.

Wednesday 23 January: Ultimate Islands and Sculptural Paradise
We’ll take a look at Yona Lee’s maze-like installation In Transit, then explore our own personal sculptural and spatial utopias and how we can make them. Imagining, designing, and planning, then constructing the impossible using recycled and found materials.

Thursday 24 January: Visualising Sound and Music
Using the exhibition From Scratch: 555 Moons as our starting point, we’ll be painting, drawing, and collaging compositions in response to sound and music.

Friday 25 January: You Choose Friday
Sculpture, drawing, softies, painting. Make what you like inspired by a visit to the galleries and the materials on hand.
