‘Sanity, at last’ addresses the artists, and society’s, struggle with mental instability in an age of catastrophic environmental destruction and political turmoil.

‘Sanity, at last’ is a collection of works addressing themes of mental illness, environmental decay, political turmoil and the distractions that digital media affords us. Utilizing neo-expressionism, the exhibit is a collection of grimly sardonic works that will leave you pondering the future of humanity and its self-destructive tendencies.

Working in the style of neo-expressionism and utilising several mediums, Oliver creates art that addresses issues of social, mental and environmental decay.

Creating work from a young age, his work has developed from cartoon figures toward darker and more abstract forms.

His influences range from cartoonists Doug TenNapel, Ralph Steadman and James Harren to more traditional artists such as Anselm Kiefer, Russell Mills and Jean Michel Basquiat.
