PlayShop is a Wellington-based performance company that creates spontaneous, thrilling theatre. They create opportunities for people to experience the joy of playful interaction through theatre, storytelling, education, and improvisation.

The stories they will tell, act out (and maybe even sing!) will come from not only their heads and hearts, but also from those sitting right in front of them. These inclusive and interactive tales, created on the spot, derive from fairy tales.

Immerse yourself in their made-up worlds; be a part of the story with them, or sit back, enjoy, and get ready to laugh. During their shows you will never see the same story twice!

Koha donation.

There is also an outdoors session on Sunday 12th May from 10.30am - 11.30am & Noon - 1pm. On the corner of Lyons & Fitzherbert Streets (or Featherston Library is inclement weather).

This is an event involved in the Featherston Booktown Festival on Friday 10th, Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th May celebrating everything to do with books, writers and reading. The three-day programme includes writing workshops; poetry readings; talks by leading authors and illustrators; and a book fair including stalls with rare and second-hand books. There are also events specifically for children.
