Have a New Years Resolution to try something new? Make new friends? Want to get fit and have fun doing it?

Come and try Japanese Taiko Drumming! We are now opening classes in Petone!

Taiko 太鼓 is a dynamic art form originating from ancient Japan. Taiko are a broad range of Japanese percussion instruments, and refers to taiko ensemble drumming called kumi daiko.

Modern Japanese taiko drumming, combines music and dance to inspire and delight audiences.

Come and learn taiko with us at our Open Session!
No drumming or music experience necessary. Beginners and all ages welcome! Donation entry.

We are Narukami Taiko, a Japanese taiko drum team in Wellington NZ. We are always looking for new members to join our group! We teach classes in Wellington, and now Petone!

Please bring earplugs as it can get a little loud.
You can get disposable ear plugs with a donation.

Current classes open to beginners are
Sundays 6 - 8pm at Aro Valley Community Centre
Tuesdays 7 - 9pm at Petone Central School
Thursdays 6 - 7:50pm at Newtown Working Mens Bowling Club

(Class ends 10 mins earlier as no pack up required).
