Koha Keg: Join us for a beer or two - what you pay is up to you!

We’re teaming up with the generous people at Black Dog Brew Co. to bring you a monthly fundraiser, with a karmic twist.

On the first Friday of the month at 5pm, we tap a keg of delicious & donated beer, you guys pay by Koha (donation), and we donate all the money raised to our local Charity of the Month. Pay what you think is Karmically fair for a pint of beer - but just remember, what goes around comes around!

Spread the word, tell your friends, and pop down to our place on Friday 5th of April to enjoy some karmic good vibes, while enjoying delicious beer & supporting a great cause.

About the Charity:
Upper Hutt Animal Rescue Society is a charitable organisation, founded in 1967, who take in and care for homeless, stray & unwanted animals, and provide them with a safe haven until they find a good forever home. Often they receive animals who are relinquished by their owners due to hardship death, or have gone into care.

All cats and kittens received by UHARS are desexed, vaccinated and receive flea and worm treatment before they make their way into adoption or fostering, and they also have a "no kill" policy on all cats & kittens.

UHARS receive no public funding, and at any given time they usually have just under 100 animals in their care. Operations are managed by the society's committee, and day to day running of the haven is undertaken by teams of volunteers - they have no paid employees. Every dollar raised goes directly to aiding local animals in need!
