Public dance workshops and performances.

International Dance Day, organised by YouthDance Education Trust, is a community event.

The day starts at 10:45am with Shut Up and Dance performance on the Te Papa forecourt. At 11am the official welcome on the Level Two Foyer will be followed by 9 workshops, with something for all ages and abilities! We close the day with a community dance performance on the marae.

Workshops Level Two Foyer:
- 11:10 - 11:45 Hip Hop with Raquel Abolins-Reid
- 11:45 - 12:30 West African with Koffie Fugah
- 12:30 - 1.15 Scottish Ceilidh with Victoria University Folk Music Club
- 1.15 - 1:30 Performance interlude
- 1:30 - 2.00 Samoan Sasa with Jayden Luapo
- 2.00 - 2:45 Cuban Salsa with Rafael Ferrer Noel

Kids Friendly Workshops - Te Marae - Level Four:
- 12:00 - 12:30 Hawaiian dance with Liora Noy
- 12:30 - 1:00 Ballet with Laura Saxon-Jones
- 1:00 - 1:30 Capoeira with Yan Agate
- 1:30 - 2:00 Jazz with Ata Bridge-Comer

Performance - Te Marae, 3 -4pm
Performance by 10 community dance groups.
