It's 2019 and our Hamilton Fringe festival has set its dates—a two-week festival from Saturday the 26th of October until Saturday the 9th of November. Expect spontaneity, expect the unexpected, expect art! We wish for these two weeks to be filled with theatre, dance, music, comedy, visual art of all kinds! But, alas! We cannot host this festival without you, the artist.

Our artists registrations are open!

You may be wondering how you would be able to make your marvelous ideas become reality? Come along to our Fringle and talk to us! There will be wine and nibbles and Activities. We welcome your questions and creativity. We, the Fringe, are about supporting you, the artist, however we are able to, to enable your projects to come to life. We hope that through hosting your project you will gain new skills, experience, and grow in confidence. We market our festival as a whole, which gives your project additional audience through being listed in our programme, website, and social media.

You, the artist, may be of any amount of experience, or lack there of, may be well known, or not—we, the Fringe, are about experimentation and the unexpected. Do you want to host a pop up concert of kazoo playing elderly women performing synchronised dance moves? Great! We love it! Do you want to create an eco-walking tour with mandatory silly hats? Great! We love it!

Do you want to create a visual masterpiece of gigantic paintings which are a strung from trees throughout The Taitua Aboretum? Great! We love it! Do you want to take inspiration from one of these ideas and make it your own? Great! we love it!

Come along to our Fringle—did we mention there will be wine? (Supervised) children are welcome. Register online at our website. Registration forms may also be found at Creative Waikato, the Meteor, Zeal, the Migrant Workers Resource Centre and Nawton Community Centre.
