We are what we eat, but what makes up the ‘best diet’ is hotly debated. This talk will unravel the recent evidence, myths and misconceptions of popular mainstream diets.

Eating well is crucial for healthy living. However, every day we’re bombarded with conflicting information, myths and misconceptions about diets.

This two-hour session takes you through the latest science-based information about mainstream diets. Come along to find out which diets are supported by evidence. You’ll also learn tips to stay up- to-date with the research on healthy eating.

A summary/ resource booklet will be provided.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to:
- Contrast the most popular mainstream diets
- Recognise some of the myths and misconceptions about dieting
- Use your knowledge to make informed dietary choices
- Apply effective search strategies to stay up to date with research on healthy eating
