Join us for a fun night out, social painting!

Artyparty has partnered with The Third Eye - Tuatara Temple of Taste to bring you regular, fun Thursday nights out, and The Speights Ale House, Petone for Sunday afternoon art sessions.

Artyparty is a fun, 3 hour event for anyone who wants to give art a go. Two local Wellington artists step you through how to create your very own masterpiece while you enjoy a drink on us! No experience necessary - We welcome all ages and talents.

We're all about creating a fun, safe, creative atmosphere with music, all equipment and set up all sorted! And we guarantee people go home with a smile of their face and their own masterpiece in hand.

Each week we paint a new topic - an original painting of ours, or an interpretation of a famous artist. Follow our event page for more info, ticketing and to stay in the loop about what we are painting on upcoming nights if you can't make it this time around!

Artyparty is a fun 3 hour 'paint & drink' event for anyone who wants to give art a go.

$49.50 includes your first drink* (selection of wine, beer or non alcoholic options available), a 3-hour guided class from professional Wellington artists, use of all materials (easels, brushes, paint, protective apron) and a canvas to paint and take home and hang on the wall!

$1 per booking will also be donated to the local Inverlochy Art School, a registered charity.

Artyparty's format is as follows (commencing at 2:50pm - 3pm in Petone).
6:20 - 6:30pm

Arrive, get a drink and mingle (first drink is included in ticket price)
6:30pm - Painting begins

A professional artist steps the group through painting a simplified version of a famous painting or local scene. Compositions are designed to be completed by a beginner within the 3-hour class time. All participants will take home a completed artwork! There will be plenty of time to ask questions and receive one-on-one help from us, local professional artists.
7:50pm - Breaktime (10 minutes)

Painters can buy drinks and nibbles, socialise and check out everybody’s artwork.
8pm - Painting continues

Painters will continue painting and complete their masterpieces on the night.
9 -9:30pm - Wrap up and group photo.
