Dr David Bade, Auckland Council, launches Auckland’s Heritage Counts 2019, a compilation of up-to-date statistics and research on Auckland’s heritage, highlighting the extent and variety of Auckland's heritage and its social and economic benefits.

Some key statistics/research to be covered in the talk include:
- Highlights from the 2019 Auckland People’s Panel heritage survey
- What local boards have the most protected heritage places per person and per kilometre
- What proportion of visitors to Auckland associate the city with heritage
- How many places are protected for heritage in Auckland
- How many Aucklanders live within a 5-minute walk of protected heritage place
- How many people visited heritage attractions in the past year
- Insights from the heritage volunteer sector
- Research on businesses in the K’Road historic heritage area
