Ren is bringing "Ze" back to Whangarei for the 3rd time...what?! It's reunion time for all the loveable trans-gressors, weirdos, and their allies (and anyone else who needs a reminder that we all belong). This show and subject matter has gained tremendous momentum in the last two years since its local Whangarei beginnings.

"Ze" is an autobiographical comedy about sex, gender, and the ever-expanding parade of queer labels and identities Michelle/Ryan (Ren) claims on zir way to pride.

"Ze" (a gender neutral pronoun) details multiple "coming-out's" from one stereotyped LGBTQI, etc. box to the next in a celebration that exposes the tension between being truly authentic and belonging.

Superfan who has seen the show 6 times:
"I've seen "Ze, Queer as F*ck" multiple times over multiple years now, and each time I resonate with a different aspect and find it hits home in a new way.

Ren's ability to simultaneously make the audience laugh, cry, ache is amazing. Ze transitions from heart-wrenchingly honest and raw truth to side-splitting comedy (and back) seamlessly, while also being aware of taking the audience along the journey with zir.

Ze makes me feel okay to be me; whatever incarnation of "me" that is on any given day. Ren is more than an artist; ze is a master connector of souls and experiences."
