This exhibition, featuring images from the Auckland Libraries West Auckland Research Centre’s collections, celebrates a few of the many glorious women associated with West Auckland: the early settlers, the ladies at the beach, the politicians, the artists, those involved in social services and nursing, sports stars, and workers - mothers, sisters, daughters, wives, partners, aunties, and grandmothers.
