In a completely improvised performance the youthful Australian trio will attempt to blur the lines between free jazz, neo-soul, hip-hop and noise art.

Having been recently featured on Gilles Peterson's Brownswood Bubblers, Vol. 12 with the single 'First World Problems' from their forthcoming album (co-produced by Paul Bender of Hiatus Kaiyote), Vulture Street Tape Gang will appear for the first time in New Zealand. VSTG have gained a steady stream of followers with their unique and unclassifiable sound. Performing completely improvised shows - therefore a jazz act - they are known to disregard boundaries of genre.

Consisting of Myka Wallace on drumkit and percussion, Michael Medlycott on keyboards and loops, and Lachlan Mitchell aka Laneous aka MC Hypeman on vocals/vocoder, they have a sound that can cover many genres in the space of a set.

Including but not limited to stream-of-consciousness RnB bangers, freaky jazz fusion explosions, slow jam funk homages, gentle neosoul ballads and vocoder rap ranting, when VSTG hit the stage, anything can happen. Presented in association with Seresin.
