The Meteor

The tragedy of: Sarah, Verity, Violet, Maddy, Kate, Phoenix, Jessica, Ruby, Elizabeth, Mikayla, Louise, Natalie and Cordelia.

The Tragedy of Cordelia is a response to the seven stages of man through Shakespeare’s As You Like It. Follow the story of Cordelia through all the stages of womanhood, from the infant to the school girl, and so on, as well as looking at the important men in her life and how their actions impacted her.

Starting in the 1940’s and making its way to 2018, this is a story that spans many generations and tells the stories of women’s struggle against oppression and inequality.

Making use of Chorus work, song, physicality and smaller scenes, The Tragedy of Cordelia promises to be a poignant and important piece of theatre. From writer/director Stephen Henderson (Boot., Judgement of Ecstasy) and devised by the cast, it would be a tragedy to miss this thought-provoking and powerful play.

Highlighting some of Hamilton’s most talented performers in ten original shows as well as various collaborations around the community, Small Dynamite Theatre Company is committed to creating challenging theatre for all.

No Small Dynamite show is the same twice, no Small Dynamite show is out of reach and no Small Dynamite show is lacking that drive and commitment to excellence that they have become known for.
