Dance with the devil and the APO.

First performed in London’s Wigmore Hall in July 1920, The Soldier’s Tale suite tells the story of a deserting soldier and the Devil who eventually possesses his soul.

Accompanying the Soldier on his travels is his magic violin which he trades with the Devil, who promises to fulfil his every wish. Unsurprisingly, the devil has the last laugh and this can be heard in the diabolical Triumphal March of the Devil.

Join the soldier and the APO on this tragic tale of music influenced by jazz, tango, marches and waltzes.
