Rocky Rhodes has developed "The Pineapple Lumps Show", to provide a whole night of predominantly home grown music!

Heavily biased to the 70's and 80's, this is the theme for the night at Hamilton Cossie, and there's prizes for best dressed to theme!

Rocky Rhodes are a dynamic Waikato 4-piece live band incorporating Jeff Stewart (guitar & vocs) from Te Kowhai, with Huntly locals Mike Lynch (Lead vocs & keys), and rhythm section of Greg Allen on bass/vocs with Nigel Roberts on drums/vocs.

All have years of experience in leading Waikato live bands, and will be performing Kiwi rock hits from the 2 decades that everyone knows and appreciates, with some Oz tracks added in, plus some of the best international 70's and 80's hits for good measure... so a wide range of dance music.

This is a chance to re-live the 70's and 80's, when the DB circuit attracted bands from all over, and a strong "down under" rock sound was developed. Think of The Exponents, Dave Dobbyn, Split Enz, Crowded House, Dragon, Daddy Cool, The Dudes, Hello Sailor, The Angels, The Mockers, even the Rumour... plus a host of other bands.

We'll be dishing out Pineapple Lumps and Rocky Roads for correct answers to our pop quiz questions on the bands and songs, and with Cossie prizes for best dressed to theme, it'll be a night to remember!

So come early, come in costume, grab a meal and have a great night!
