Do you and your family want to try worm farming? Or perhaps you have a worm farm, but want another one? Here’s a chance to see an unusual method of worm farming, and while it won’t deal with the entire food waste from a household, it is a great way to add fertility to the soil of a container plant.

The Multi-Purpose Planter is a combination of two gardening techniques that are well suited to container gardening: vertical hugelkultr, and in-ground worm farming.

This is a great introduction to worm farming, and perfect for school children 10 years and older who are interested in getting into some gardening projects.

Win the pot we make on the day.

"The worm tower hugel pot is a brilliant idea. It is simple and easy to set up. It is also very convenient as it can be anywhere you like - on the deck or in the garden.

I love adding my veggie scraps in it and watching as they slowly sink lower each week. It works beautifully – at the moment I have some different varieties of herbs in it, and they are flourishing compared to my plants in store-bought compost mix.

Even after I had a pest infestation in my plants, the plants in the worm tower hugel pot were able to bounce back after I thought they were dead, and are thriving for a second season."
