The Importance of Spanish Language in New Zealand is an inclusive event to discuss the presence of the language in our country and the importance of the Spanish speaking community.

As members of the Spanish speaking community, we believe we can do more to promote our culture and heritage and to create stronger bonds between members of the community to benefit from the strengths of a closer and better connected social group.

We will start with a networking reception with tapas and refreshments from 6:30pm and a roundtable from 7pm, in which our guest speakers will tell us about their experience in New Zealand and their anecdotes or experiences lived for being Spanish speakers.

We will discuss the present and the future of the Spanish speaking community and what actions can be taken to better improve the integration of our community members and to promote diversity.

This event is free of charge as part of the Spanish Week by Massey University and co-organized by Creative Desk Ltd and sponsored by Bonita Tapas Bar & Cocktails.

The venue is Western Springs Garden Community Hall, located in 956 Great North Road. Parking is available free of charge and buses 10, 18, 110, 129, 132, 133, 134, 195 & 650 stop at the door frequently.
