We invite you to join us for this VIP movie fundraiser.Based on the critically acclaimed, Man Booker prize shortlisted novel by Penelope Fitzgerald, The Bookshop is set in a small coastal Suffolk town in 1959.

The movie features Emily Mortimer as Florence Green, a middle-aged widow who decides to open a bookshop in an old abandoned house, with Violet Gamart as the influential and ambitious Patricia Gamart who intends to set up an arts centre in the ghostly house and Bill Nighy as Edmund Brundish, the MP nephew who sponsors a bill to empower local councils to purchase any historical building that has been vacant or uninhabited for five years.

Join us at the Bridgeway to see what will happen when the bill is passed and Florence is evicted!

Tickets are $30 each and include a glass of wine, or a beer, or a non-alcoholic beverage.

We’ll have some great raffles and terrific spot prizes too so please be sure to bring some cash on the night to really help us make a positive change in people’s lives and support the great work that Home and Family Counselling does.
