800 Degrees Glass has a track record of bringing cast glass to communities. In November 2018, this will be the first cast glass workshop to take place in Kumeu and it's going to be exciting!

Course participants will learn the foundational skills required to continue their cast glass journey down the track. The workshop is 2.5 days. The weekend will be from 10-4pm with the following Saturday being a half day - when course participants reveal their own casts the made the week before.

No experience is needed as there is plenty of time for one to one instruction in a workshop environment.

Those who have always wanted to learn, now have the opportunity to do so with established glass artist and educator of her medium, Susan Louie.

This workshop will cover the basics of lost wax casting, working with wax and clay within a 2 Dimensional framework, as well as using a 2 dimensional framework to create 3D works.

Come along to dispel any myths about cast glass that you've heard or ever wondered about.

This is the first workshop of its kind in the Kumeu region and we are inviting you to register before 15 October 2018. Only 8 places available on this workshop, and they are extremely popular. Currently six places remain. On a first come first serve basis.
