Enjoy kōrero-ō-neherā, some storytelling of ancient yet ever-relevant stories. Be supported to explore the regional gallery using te reo Māori to express your discoveries and delight.

Learn about the incredible resource of harakeke (flax) and the lessons it has to teach us. Create a whāriki and a whetū (weave a mat and a star to take home). This is an opportunity to be immersed in a fun, supportive, bilingual environment where Māori language and wisdom is valued and celebrated.

Each Te Rito session is limited to 20 children per session. Children under 7 years of age, need to come with an assisting adult. Bookings are essential.

No cost but koha or gold coin donation appreciated. When booking please state how many children you are booking space for.
