Join us at Taupō Public Library for some awesome holiday activities.

Monday 8 October: 10.30am Survival/ Search and Rescue with Brendon
Whether you enjoy a frolic in the forest or a forage in the woods, you should know a thing or two about survival in the wilderness. Join us at the library to learn some important skills for any weather and terrain. (Ages 12+)

Tuesday 9 October: 10.30am Story and Space Craft
Rocket on into the library to hear tales of space exploration. Blast off home with your very own space craft.

Wednesday 10 October: 10.30am Library- Poetry Writing Workshop
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn or hone your poetry writing skills at the library today with Taupō Poetry Group. In preparation for the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day, we invite budding poets to come and write words of peace for our display. (All ages; adult supervision required).

Thursday 11 October: 10.30am Embroidered Xmas Decorations
Taupō Embroidery Group are joining us at the library to share their expertise. Come and create embroidered xmas decorations. There are limited spaces available, so make sure you book a spot.

Friday 12 October: 10.30am Shelter Constructions
Bivouac originally referred to a soldier that stayed up on night watch in the open air, dressed and armed.

Today, we refer to a bivouac as a way of sleeping out in the open without a tent. Check out our temporary shelter at the library then try making your own miniature version. (All ages; adult supervision required).
