Do you have a child in your life that suffers from anxiety? Kylie from Heart Centered Parenting is a well-known secret within our Ako community. Most parents have attended one of her courses, and all will tell you how she has enlightened them in some way to be a better parent, teacher, and person.

So it is with great pleasure that AkoTalks would like to invite you to a night spent with Kylie talking about what anxiety is and to gain tools to support children with anxiety. By the end of the evening you will walk away feeling you understand your child's anxiety better, have ways to prevent anxiety and have strategies to coach them through those anxious moments.

Kylie is a certified Parent and Teacher Coach, who lives in Auckland, New Zealand - with her husband Rhys and their three children (two of whom are neurodiverse - one with Aspergers and one with Dyslexia). She helps teachers and parents all over the world to gain a deep connection with the children in their lives.

To find out more information about Kylie and the other courses she offers please visit her website www.heartcentredparenting.com.

“Our son didn’t want to leave our side, but after going through the “Supporting your anxious child” course, we have learned how to better understand his needs and how to support him through these moments.” — Anika, Rotorua

Note that this is a fundraising talk for Ako School. Suggested $5-$20 koha on the door or email admin@akospace.com to make a donation by direct debit and get your name on the door.
