Geshe Nyima Dorjee (Geshe-la for short), is a Tibetan monk from Sera Jey Monastery-based currently in Christchurch.

Each week Geshela is taking the participants through simple but profound understanding of the philosophical ideas, benefits and practices behind developing an altruistic mind.

The classes will introduce and help you understand the reasoning and methods for developing the mind; how to develop patience, how to cultivate kindness and solve our problems, and how to avoid and eliminate ours and others suffering.

Buddhist philosophy teaches us ways of looking at and understanding our inner world, our mind and seeing the mind as the source of our misunderstandings and difficulties but also our ability to change.

Geshela has a warm and welcoming presence, with a wonderful spirit of fun. The opportunity to listen and engage with a Tibetan monk of Geshela's training is a rare and invaluable treat.

No experience is required. The classes are no charge. Donations accepted.
