27 Jan: Lisa Tomlins and Los Helios ft Vanessa Stacey

Come down to Dowse Square, lounge on the grass under the trees and enjoy the awesome music for free! Bring a bottle and grab some fresh fountain water. There's activities for the kids, and always good stuff happening at The Dowse.

Lisa Tomlins, Hutt’s own singer, songwriter, collaborator, mentor, lecturer and camping enthusiast, has worked with some of the best including Fat Freddys Drop, Rhombus, Shapeshifter, Trinity Roots, The Eggs and many more. She is one of New Zealand's most versatile performers cementing herself as a much sought after vocalist.

Los Helios brings together the forces of Wellington based musicians Johnny Lawrence (Electric Wire Hustle) on driving upright bass, Tyson Smith (Tyson Smith Trio) on smooth jazz guitar and Vanessa Stacey’s (Chocolate Box/The Shuffle) soulful vocal styling’s in an assortment of original tunes and rearrangements of old and nu skool R&B/Soul and Jazz.
