20 Jan: Amba Holly & Sianne Dougherty
Taiaha by TUMA

Summer in Dowse Square launches this year with acoustic sessions from two local songbirds Amba Holly & Sianne Dougherty and Taiaha Mau Rakau with TUMA.

Relax under the shade trees and enjoy the music or get active with taiaha practice. It's a win win!

If wet, this event will be inside The Dowse, same day, same time.

Amba Holly is a soul RnB singer songwriter who was awarded the radio airplay award at the Waiata Music Awards for her beautiful waiata 'Mau Tonu'.

Sianne Dougherty is a rising star with a voice of an angel. 2018 will be a big year for Sianne with new music brewing. Following stints with Tomorrow People and Grove Roots, she is now focused and set to release her solo career. This is a voice not to be missed.

Taiaha by TUMA: Maori Martial Arts hosted by Matiu Tahi with a display of movements by local tamariki who have learned the new rakau movement, TUMA, that was created here in Lower Hutt.
