Let's put on our glasses and keep our eyes wide open to family harm and what we can do about it.

Come along to take The Pledge and support local personalities take part in the Square Dash in tutus and glasses to raise awareness and funds around all types of family harm. Proceeds will go towards local safety kits for those forced by family violence to leave situations at short notice. There will be stalls with local information, music, games in the Square and a sausage sizzle.

The event will run from 5pm - 7pm (The Pledge & Square Dash at 6pm) in the Te Awe Awe Quadrant of the Square, Church Street side facing the Plaza, on Thursday, 22 November 2018.

The Pledge:
"I will stand up, speak out and act to prevent all family harm."

The Support:
- Support the “Square Dash” on your motorcycle, classic cars, hot rods, sports cars etc by joining in the ride to the square.

- Meet at Memorial Park car park at 5.30pm, convoy leaving at 5.45 for a loud and impressive short trip to The Square to show that family violence will not be accepted in our community.

The Dash:
- Enter a team of 4 to run in 'Tutus and Glasses' to open our eyes to the appalling numbers of victims of family violence.
- Register your team by emailing: main@ain.nz and ask for details.
- Two titles to be won: Overall Winner and Best Dressed
- Each team will receive a donation bucket to collect donations for MAIN prior to the event.
- All proceeds will go towards providing safety kits.
- A prize will be awarded for the team who collects the most donations.
- All teams participating will receive a certificate.
