Papaya Stories

Let's get outdoors and transform the city into La-la-land.

This time around we invite for an interactive, multi-sensory walk to explore the Henderson area, its streets, parks, secret spot and public space and unlock its cultural and historical potential. Take a look around by tuning into pre-recorded entertainment programme through Silent Disco headphones and have a new perspective on the city and the area we live in.

A free immersive, unique, interactive, multi-sensory 90-min walk around Henderson thanks to the Henderson-Massey Local Board and Panuku Development funding.

No dance experience or desire is required. Just be you, it’s more than enough and takes a walk on the wild side. Bring your children, friends, parents or even grandparents. Kids 5+ years are welcome.

The meeting point – outside of the WestCity Shopping Mall, entrance from the Great North Road.

The event's theme is inspired by the cultural and historical heritage of Henderson. We will touch upon the Past, reflect on the Present and think of The Future that we are able to co-create as the community. The music playlist will contain all sorts of music hits from old school to new school.
