Please join us in The Pyramid, Massey University Wellington campus, at midday on Wednesday May 23 for this important whole-of-campus wellness event: a staging of Shot Bro by Rob Mokaraka.

“At a time when New Zealand is in a state of youth suicide crisis and thousands of Kiwis struggle with day-to-day life, a time when too many people think that clicking ‘Like' on social media is a way to connect with others meaningfully, it takes something incredible to get a group of complete strangers to talk about the big taboo: depression. It helps if you're a brilliant writer and actor with a very personal story to tell. And it helps if you break the ice with a very tongue-in-cheek rugby commentary.” - Joanna Page, Upsurge Festival

All welcome. Complimentary refreshments will be served. The show is extraordinary. Brave, generous, funny, honest and uplifting, it has been travelling the country to rave reviews. It will be followed by a kōrero about mental health, depression and how we can all work to create an inclusive, supportive campus where everybody feels valued and able to speak freely about depression. Rob will be joined in the kōrero by clinical staff from the School of Psychology and the Student Counselling Service.

Brought to you by Mookalucky Productions, Pukeahu ki Tua and the Massey University College of Humanities & Social Sciences.
