Always wanted to learn to sew? Come along to this fun class and learn to make a basic a-line or straight skirt whilst learning the basics of sewing.

In this class you will learn how to:
- Choose the right size pattern
- Read and follow the pattern
- Lay out and cut your fabric
- Thread and use a sewing machine
- Use an overlocker
- Sew you garment together and fit it

You will learn lots of helpful tips along the way about fabric, sewing techniques, patterns and accessories. If there is time we will move on to a second garment.

A pattern will be supplied but you will need to bring pins, material, zip, thread, interfacing, scissors etc. Details will be provided upon enrolment. Please note that some fabric types are unsuitable for beginners such as stretch fabrics and those with busy patterns or stripes that will be difficult to match.

Bring your own machine or use the class Bernina machines available. Course limited to 10 students.
