Curious about life above the treeline?
Journey through the beech forest to scenic Rob Roy Glacier with DOC Rangers and Tom Goodman from the Kea Conservation Trust. Discover the intricacies of forest, alpine and glacier environments, and meet the unique native species that call these places home.

Learn about the lives of the sociable and highly intelligent kea, and hear about current projects supporting conservation in this area, all while taking in the spectacular scenery.

4-4.5 hour moderate 10 km hike, great for hikers and fit families.

(Weather permitting).

Where: Raspberry Creek car park (fine weather road only, high clearance vehicles recommended)
