The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) is proud to present the Ringa Toi Secondary School Student Exhibition 2018 - Celebrating Student Success.

The exhibition celebrates the work of secondary school students working towards achieving NCEA levels 1 - 3 with a focus on Toi Māori at excellence level.

Launched in 2016, the exhibition showcases a range of Māori art forms including raranga, kākahu (wearables), whakairo, mahi-tā (paint, print spray), and mahi-matihiko (digital).

Toi Māori is recognised as a vehicle to enhance student achievement and encourage retention at school. It also provides a platform where the use of mātauranga Māori is advanced and Māori learner success is accelerated.

For three days you will be able to view this National Secondary School and Kura Kaupapa Māori collective of Toi Māori Artworks, with presentations by leading arts exponents Darcy Nicholas (QSO) and Professor Ahorangi Derek Lardelli.
