SEA LIFE Trust invites Ōrākei businesses to take part in Plastic Free Ōrākei! Pop along to our free info evening and learn how to reduce the amount of plastic your business uses over 3 months. Kicking off in Conservation Week 2018.

We all know how important the marine environment is, and that it is currently under threat by the sheer volume of marine debris being produced each and every year. What we might not all know, however, is what we can do to turn the tide and save our oceans.

Our Plastic Free Ōrākei concept is an easy one – we are inviting local businesses to reduce the amount of plastic they use for a period of 3 months. Along with the help of a dedicated SEA LIFE Trust representative, businesses will choose one (or more) way that they will reduce plastic use.

We’re running this campaign with the hopes that the chosen action will continue after the 3 month period is over. We will be measuring the reduction in plastic for each business and awarding certificates according to the following achievements:
- Bronze Certificate – for businesses that reduce the use of their chosen item by 40%.
- Silver Certificate - for businesses that reduce the use of their chosen item by 60%.
- Gold Certificate - for businesses that reduce the use of their chosen item by 80%.

Join us at our free information night hosted at SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's to learn more about this initiative, how you can be involved and to sign your business up to help save our oceans.
