Palmerston North is lucky enough to have two of the world's leading experts in placemaking and fostering local communities.

If you are already involved in making great places within your communities, then this session is for you. Delve into the deep issues facing places around the world and how they've overcome obstacles along the way. Get inspired to further enable your neighbourhood, community, or town/city to become more socially-resilient through the co-creation of authentic places.

Ethan Kent has spent over the last 20 years advocating the transformative approach that placemaking takes in towns and cities across 60 countries.

Neil McInroy, CEO of the Centre for Local Economic Strategies, is a leader in the development of economic development and public policy that leads to more collaborative and just local economies.

This event is not to be missed for placemaking buffs! The talk is brought to you free thanks to Palmerston North City Council and Placemaking Palmerston North.
