The three-year-old is wailing in the background because you won’t let him have a biscuit as its close to tea time. Your teenager is telling you they can’t go to school as they have anxiety and their legs are too fat. And let’s face it - your own sanity is only hanging on by the thinnest of grasps. So how on earth is brain development going to help? And will I even understand it?

It does help to understand the basics of how your child’s brain (and your own!) works, because it reveals little tricks to make it easier, and reveals ways to communicate with kids in a way that actually gets them to listen and even like you more!

If nothing else you will learn about the stages of brain development that will happen across childhood so you know that a lot of it is normal development and not in fact your fault - whew!

And don’t worry about not being able to understand it - while Nathan has all the qualifications and academic creed, he comes from a background of being a foster child and a foster parent so talks more like a butcher (he comes from five generations at least of butchers!) than he does an academic.

Here’s your chance to get all the latest research from a valid source in a super easy and made to make sense way.

Captivating audiences over 200 times per year in New Zealand, Australia and Internationally, Nathan Wallis provides an informative narrative on how our day-to-day interactions with children and young people, significantly the early years, plays a critical role in defining later outcomes for our children.

As a renowned neuroscience educator, Nathan Wallis has developed a profound reputation as a lively and engaging speaker who uses humour and plain language to make this complex topic burst into life
