Music in Parks

Rally your friends, make a picnic dinner and enjoy a night at the beach with some live blues.

Midge Marsden remains New Zealand's pre-eminent rhythm and blues artist. His combination of excellent musicians and unstoppable energy combine to guarantee a great show every time.

With a sweet-toned vocalist, a classical guitarist, a funky percussionist and a smooth double bassist White Chapel Jak brings you clever covers of your favourite tunes.

Rounding out the lineup are a firm favourite in Auckland's Blues scene - The Flaming Mudcats. This band knows how to please a crowd. Their sound is thick and muscular, with burning harp and smoking guitar lines.

Thanks to our major partner Zerowater and supporting partner MediaWorks New Zealand.

Auckland Council supports zero waste. Avoid polystyrene and plastic (wrap and bags) when bringing food on site. Consider re-useable or recylable packaging.

All Auckland Council sports fields, parks and reserves are smoke-free areas.
