We need to make sure we can move our bodies so that we're able to perform all the movements necessary for our daily life and to keep an active lifestyle.

The summer series of Awareness Through Movement classes will allow you to reclaim easy and effortless movement and help keep you active, balanced and flexible.

In each class you lie, sit or stand on a comfy mat and are verbally guided through a sequence of movements that involve the whole body. There is no pain, sweating or stretching involved.

As you explore a wide variety of movements, you will learn about your movement patterns and habits - the ones that serve you and the ones that don't! You get to discover how you move. Your increased awareness allows you to optimise your everyday movement to be pain-free, comfortable and easy.

In all classes you move at your own pace and comfort. It doesn't matter if you've never tried Feldenkrais or you've been doing it for years. All body types and levels are welcome.

The sessions are in a specialised small-group class format and have a maximum of five students per class.

Investment: The term costs $90 for 6 classes.

What to wear:
Please wear comfortable clothes (trousers) that you can move in easily. You don’t need to wear sports gear or yoga pants (and you definitely don't have to wear lycra!). The classes are done barefoot (or in socks).

What to bring:
All you need to bring is yourself and a curiosity to learn.

Monday 7.00pm - 8.00pm
Wednesday 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Thursday 9.00am - 10.00am

How to book:
Places are limited and classes can fill up quickly! Each class has a maximum of 5 students so registration is essential.

About the Teacher:
Sarah loves helping people connect their body, mind and movement, so that they can move with more awesome. Sarah is a Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and a registered member of the New Zealand Feldenkrais Guild. She also offers hands-on individual sessions for anyone who has a particular difficulty they would like to improve.
