Discover the maths behind craft and the craft behind maths at Dunedin’s first Maths Craft Day, Sunday February 11 in the Atrium Level 1 at The Otago Museum.

Featuring a collection of craft creation stations as well as public talks by mathematician crafters, the day-long celebration of maths promises to engage people of all ages. Make a Möbius strip, knit a mathematical knot, build a fractal sculpture, fold an origami octahedron, and listen to talks about the connections between maths and crafts.

Enthusiastic volunteers, experienced in both mathematics and crafts, will make you feel at home no matter what your age or background.

Open to everyone:
Experts and amateurs, maths-fans and maths-phobes, the crafty and the curious. No booking is required.
