Celebrate Matariki to welcome the Maori new year planting season and to give thanks for the harvest with fun, festivity and fireworks.

There's lots of delicious kai on offer from hangi to hot dogs, fry bread to toffee apples. Wainuiomata Rugby League Club is managing the food stalls.

There's free kiddies slides and bouncies and a line-up of ten performances from kapa haka to choir, hip hop to hula and lots more.

The finale is a spectacular fireworks display to Maori music.

Bundle up warm and join the celebrations. Plenty of free parking and seating in the grounds for hundreds.
