Love Our Kauri Hui

Sorry this event has been and gone

  • Sat 24 Nov ’18, 10:30am – 12:30pm

EcoMatters Environment Trust, 1 Olympic Place, New Lynn

All Ages

Now summer is officially here, it’s time to brush off the tramping boots (or jandals) and head for the hills. But due to extreme kauri dieback risk, a little extra thought and planning is needed before we go bush.

This is a great way to find out what, where, when and how… to ensure these majestic giants grace our forests for future generations.

A panel of experts will discuss key points, followed by Q&A.

- Dr Nick Waipara, Senior Scientist, Plant & Food Research
- Kauri Rescue Project
- Fredrik Hjelm, The Living Tree Company
- Auckland Council
- Te Kawerau a Maki
- Pamela Gill/Dr Dan Ducker, EcoMatters Restoration Team

Facilitated by Damon Birchfield, CEO EcoMatters.

Woodfired pizza from 1pm.

Due to limited spaces on the day (50), we are also making this hui available as a webinar.
