KidzConference

The KidzConference is a day where children can learn what it is to be part of a community. As the theme of the conference is Frontup4impact, they’ll work together to see how even at a young age, they can change the world for good.

The fourth annual KidzConference is on the 28th of March at the Copthorne in Masterton. It’s particularly suited to children in Years 4-8 (from around 8-13 years old). The conference is growing in popularity, too. Last year’s event saw 200 bookings in five days, workshop presenters, and homeschooled students travelling from as far as Tauranga, and one school bringing their entire Year 5-8 cohort.

At the KidzConference, kids will participate in workshops, listen to guest speakers, and compete in challenges. It’s a day of learning that is child-led, hands-on, and oodles of fun. The workshops include a huge range of activities, from sport, leadership, performance, self-image, and public speaking related activities to Special Effects, Catering, Photography, Pottery, Drumming, Woodwork at Mitre 10, Performing, and even Civil engineering!

The KidzConference is so much more than an event for one day. Organisers, FreshAz Education have
massive scope for students to partner with the yearlong programmes they’ve also got on offer, no matter where they may live and learn – be it from home or school. FreshAz is a mobile teaching and learning service that works with students (and the adult sector) to enhance skills learnt, for greater impact with local and global communities.
