This week's interview is with Kohno Fumitaka, a rugby referee and rugby referee trainer. He will talk about his stay in Wellington and about rugby in NZ and Japan, including rugby refereeing education and forthcoming rugby World Cup in Japan.

Tune in on FM 106.FM on Friday at 6 pm or listen on internet live or via podcast at Access Radio at http://www.accessradio.org.nz/japan-radio-wellington.html .

The radio programme will be on air every Friday at 6-6:30pm and each programme will be repeated the following week. This radio programme is organised by the Japan Society of Wellington.

The Japan Society of Wellington promotes understanding of Japanese language, culture and technology in Wellington region in its monthly meetings at the Japan Information and Culture Centre on Willis Street.

The content is mostly easy listening Japanese, with English explanations added, with lots of both traditional and modern music and often a specific theme of interest in one programme. Different programmes will have different amounts of Japanese and English and talking/music.

We are grateful to Wellington City Council Arts and Culture Fund to have funded this pilot stage of the radio programme. We also want to thank Wellington Access Radio for their generous help.

Listeners can contact us for comments and suggestions at japanradiowellington@gmail.com.
