Reimagining legal solutions to miscarriages of justice.

October 2 marks the fifth annual Wrongful Conviction Day, an international day to raise awareness of the causes and remedies of miscarriages of justice, and recognise the tremendous personal, social and emotional costs for innocent people and their families.

With the 2018 theme being Fixing the System, Dr Bridget Irvine, coordinator for Innocence Project New Zealand, will explain why miscarriages of justice occur in the New Zealand criminal justice system, describe the current legal pathways for correcting these errors, and "reimagine" the legal solutions.
