What is Bachata?
Bachata is a form of music and dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. The music itself is played at a romantic 4/4 pace. The basics to the dance are three-step followed by a tap. Generally, most of the dancer’s movement is in the lower body up to the hips.

What is Zouk?
Zouk music is characterised by a slow rhythm and a heart-beat like deep base line. Zouk is danced to a slow-quick-quick rhythm, the strong beats and therefore longer steps being on the first third & fourth beat of the bar.
